Tony Roma's in Kyoto Review

Have a craving for American food or BBQ while you are visiting Kyoto, Japan? I highly recommend Tony Roma's!

There is something for everyone to eat, but you must try the ribs! The menu has many options - starters, combo dinners, ribs, burgers, sandwiches, soups and salads for you to choose from. Best part of Tony Romas's is that it is literally walking distance from Kyoto Station.

My fiancé and I went out with our friends for dinner and cocktails on a Sunday night. We were greeted immediately and waited for about 3 minutes to be seated. I was a bit worried from reading reviews that one can expect over an hour wait time to be seated. Thank God that was not the case!

There were two items that had my mouth watering the minute I discovered there was a Tony Roma's in Japan. That was their world-famous, made from scratch onion loaf and their ribs. So yes of course, I ordered both and more!

To be exact, my fiancé and I shared the Roma's Sampler that included the onion loaf, buffalo wings, and spinach and artichoke dip. I ordered the Roma Rack (it was a huge portion) with Carolina Honey Sauce, and my fiancé ordered the Grilled Lamb Chops. My sincerest apologies; he attacked the lamb before I could get a pic of it. LOL.

Fly Tip: Although the lamb chops were great, if you are really hungry I recommend you choose a different entree or order an appetizer.

The service was excellent and the waiters had great personalities. I would highly recommend Tony Roma's if you are craving American food after living in Japan for a while or if you are visiting and want to eat American food.

Total spent on dinner for two ¥ 9860
